What To Expect On Your First Visit.
Visiting our clinic should be an exhilarating and rewarding experience for you as you find relief from you cause of discomfort, tension or stiffness. We start with the basics.
First we will ask you to fill out contact details on our case history form. When you are taken into the treatment room you will be asked questions about the reason you have come, for instance how long you have been feeling discomfort, why or when things changed, what other effects your complaint is having, as well as questions about your past injuries.

We will ask lots of questions about your past medical history and any other relevant issues relating to why you have come. The appropriate examination will be carried out which may include a structural examination, orthopedic or neurological tests (i.e. reflexes, mobility) necessary to support a diagnosis.
For the examination or treatment you may be asked to change down to your underwear or shorts. If you are not comfortable doing this please let us know.
Treatment

Once the examination and testing has been completed and a working diagnosis arrived at, and if you are deemed safe to treat, you will receive the treatment appropriate to you and to our diagnosis.
Treatment may include a range of hands-on treatment modalities, including deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation, myofascial release and stretching. We may also give postural advice and the appropriate exercise prescription.
Cranial Osteopathy

Our practitioners are skilled cranial osteopaths and if this is the treatment you receive the practitioner will place their hands on you with no pressure applied. This form of treatment may help to give relief from headaches or joint pain. It has often been used in the treatment of babies and children as it is non-invasive and practitioner contact is light. Sometimes adults report that they feel things happening in their body away from the site of contact with the treatment and sometimes they feel nothing at all.
Using a combination of all of the above methods of treatment, Saleem will address the issues that relate to your discomfort or restriction, both at the site of your problem and any related co-factors
We want you to feel comfortable throughout the examination and treatment process, so if you are unhappy or unsure about any aspect of your treatment at any time please talk to us straight away. We will stop what we are doing and explain why we are doing whatever it is. You can stop us at any time.
Osteopaths are one of the few government registered primary health care groups. Osteopaths in Australia have completed a five year degree including academic and practical studies. Osteopaths are trained to perform standard medical examinations of the musculo-skeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous systems.
